Transfer Students: Apply for Admission
TRUMAN WELCOMES applications from students who have earned previous college credit from other accredited institutions. You can apply for admission to Truman as early as one year in advance of the semester you wish to attend. Truman has a rolling admission policy for transfer students, meaning applications are accepted until the beginning of each term. However, it is recommended that transfer students apply a minimum of 60 days prior to the start of the semester to ensure adequate time for the admission and registration processes.
TO APPLY, transfer students must submit:
- A Completed Transfer Application for Admission
- Official transcripts from all colleges attended
- Two (2) writing samples (see admission essay requirements outlined in item #40 of the transfer application.)
- Official high school transcript*
- ACT or SAT test score(s)*
*Required of transfer applicants with fewer than 24 hours of transferable college credit (following high school) at the time of application.

ADMISSION
TO TRUMAN IS COMPETITIVE. Students must demonstrate a preparedness
for study at Truman based on cumulative academic record, including
grade point average in transferable college credit and strength of
college curricula.
